The ‘Voice of Europe’ affair is an election manoeuvre

01 april 2024 | Petr Bystron

Petr Bystron is a Member of the German Bundestag and foreign policy spokesman for the AFD.

  1. The closure of the Voice of Europe is a blatant attack on press freedom which I strongly condemn.  The goal of this campaign of slander is to damage opposition politicians in several European countries and to silence critical journalists.  Anyone who stands for peace and against the continuation of the war in Ukraine is defamed as a Russian agent.
  2. As in many previous election campaigns, those in power are trying to push back against the high opinion poll ratings of the opposition, using campaigns of slander carried out with the help of the secret services.  In the previous elections to the Bundestag, this was done with the Verfassungsschutz, the German secret service. In this European Parliament election campaign, it is the Czech secret services.  In this way, those in power are trying to prevent a strong showing by six political parties across Europe.
  3. It is no coincidence that this globalist campaign started in the Czech Republic.  The government of the Czech prime minister, Petr Fiala, is one of the strongest supporters of the continuation of the war in Ukraine; the Czech arms industry is one of the world’s biggest profiteers from this conflict.
  4. The campaign was initiated by the defamation platform “Deník N” and the notorious German magazine Der Spiegel. The campaign was spread on social media in various languages by the globalist NGO, “The European Values Centre for Security Policy“ based in Prague.

The financiers of this NGO are:

USAID

US Embassy in Prague

US Foreign Ministry (State Department)

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung

Hans Seidel Stiftung

Friedrich Naumann Stiftung

Czech Foreign Ministry

Among others.
